Comment by Matt Lemos on January 18, 2013 at 18:08 Hi Fleur,
Yeah that would be perfect, thank you. I will find you there and get that sorted with you. Thanks. And I did the online entry here on Cueball.
Comment by Relic on January 17, 2013 at 20:16 Thank you NSWPBA for paying me my prize money in full.
I also agree with Travis's suggestions (except the part about my shout :-)
Thank you once again and I'm looking forward to a response from WPA....

Comment by Secretary NSWPBA on January 17, 2013 at 14:14 Hi Matt,
I will be in Melbourne. I can get you to fill in a form and pay your entry at the event if you are happy with that. Did you do the online entry? If you still need to do that, just tick that you are an NSWPBA member, and I will vouch for you to get that followed up.

Comment by Travis Crawley on January 17, 2013 at 13:56 Based on the circumstances, I think it was the right decision to pay Dave the money. Common sense has prevailed. Well done.
It's Dave's shout everybody!!!!

Comment by Matt Lemos on January 17, 2013 at 13:47 Hey guys, payed my entry for this event yonks ago, but was unaware am I supposed to be a member of the NSWPBA to play in this event? If so, how do I become one? I will be playing our state events later this year also.

Comment by Travis Crawley on January 17, 2013 at 11:57 I agree that whatever awards, trips, prizemanoney, etc is advertised by the organisers should be honoured.
I do not agree with prizemoney being withheld.
It should be very clear (to every entrant) what everyone is playing for;
1. An Australian Championship.
2. Advertised prizemoney.
3. A position at the World Championship.
If money is to be kept aside for the expenses of someone travelling to the world championships, then a nominated sum or percentage should be reduced from the overall monies at the start.
The winner of the Australian Title receives his/her full prizemoney then has the option to use the allocation of funds if he/she chooses to travel. If he/she does not, then that option should be given to the runner/up and so on.
If nobody chooses to travel for that year or the world title gets cancelled, then the monies remain with the association for furure admin and event coordination.
