I understand what your saying Dave but really if your handicap is 20 or more above another player is because your alot more capable of winning 2-0 then them winning 1-0, we all know as pool players comps come and go and I feel even with a game start there is enough difference in ability to make it a worthwhile match. Any comps that are purely dominated by a few top players we all know don't exist in the long run. This comp is about participation and player support and trying to even the field a bit with double elimination draw, race to 2 and really if your 20 or more points in handicap above your opponent the odds and ability are still there for you to win both games.

Sounds like a fun comp. But i never understand why you guys always give the weaker players the advantage. I mean if your going to handicap the higher ranked players thats fine but if it's race to 2 than the lower ranked player should still have to win 2 games. The higher ranked players off -1.

Same with race to 50 but you give start and all of a sudden the other guy only needs to pot 25 balls. It's not really race to 50 is it?
