Comment by David Rothall on September 11, 2012 at 12:09 Winner's cheque would depend on entries, I don't think there are any spots attached, there haven't been any spots for Oceania winners for a few years now...

Comment by PrincessEnvy on August 14, 2012 at 13:12 The 3 point rule for 9Ball has been adopted into the WPA rules & will now be used for all APPF events.
There is a link to the document that describes all the rules within this rule in the above info.

Alternate break format used for whole tournament.
Magic racks are allowed if you have one.
A 45 second shot clock will be used for slow play during knockout stages if required.
8 ball (starting time on Thursday changed to 12 pm instead of 7 pm)
Round robin Race to 4
Knockout stage - Race to 8 including final
9 ball
Round Robin race to 5
Knockout stages race to 11, final race to 13
3 person teams (9 ball)
10 am start on Wednesday
Team matches involve 3 singles matches total: Player 1 from team 1 plays player A from team 2, and similarly with players 2 v B and 3 v C, i.e. players in each team play 1 match only. Singles matches are races to 6.
At this stage there will be 2 groups, teams in each group play a round robin. Top 2 from each group qualify for the semis (crossover semis: Top (group 1) vs second (group 2) and top (group 2) vs second (group 1)). Matches for both semi and final are still race to 6.
Depending on time, there may only be one group to provide players with more matches on Wednesday. The teams tournament should be finished on the Wednesday, however if the semis finish later than 9 pm, the final may be played at 10 am on Friday or Sunday if required.
Teams event prize money:
Winner: 55% of prize pool
Runner Up: 30%
3rd: 15% - the losing semi finalists will play for this to see who finishes 3rd. (Tournaments typically pay a quarter of the field. If there are more than 12 teams we might consider paying both semi finalists - this will be discussed later.)
If there are other queries let me know, and I'll try to find the info from Alec ASAP. Cheers

Comment by David Rothall on August 10, 2012 at 18:15 No bank transfer details. 9 ball SA doesn't have Internet banking set up... There are cheque details on the entry form. Or you can call Alec at empire for more details.

Comment by Greg Jenkins on August 9, 2012 at 22:38 Do you have any Bank transfer details?
Comment by PrincessEnvy on July 27, 2012 at 21:23 Margarite has emailed the info out to all in her address book. However she is having trouble sending it to hotmail addresses so if you have one of those she will hopefully have it sorted ASAP.
