2011 World 8-Ball Championships

The team below will represent Australia at the 2011 World 8-Ball Championships in Blackpool, England.
From June 25th - July 7th. (Two Shot)
This is a star studded line up, and in my humble opinion, these guys start as favourites to win the world title.

That's a shame, cueball.tv is starting to get a bit of recognition in the U.K. Will it not be televised at all then? It has been in the past hasn't it?

The last stages (once they switch to an 8 foot table) are televised on one of the pay channels in the uk a few mths after the event has finished, not sure if it reaches AUS viewers thou. Would be great if cueball.tv was invited however certain individuals at the top of the tree of the English Pool Association are notoriously difficult indivuduals at the best of times based on personal experience.

3 Aussies (Ben, Ron and Brenton) straight into the last 64. Never seen that before

Really great to see but does reflect how many top players have defected to American style pool. Darren Appleton, Carl Morris, Karl Boyes, Chris Melling, Pat Holtz to name just a few. Not to mention no Mark selby. With less and less juniors in England taking up this rule set and playing other cuesports, it isn't going to be long before the WEPF worlds is irrevelant.

Still, means we might see another Aussie world champ in the next few years :)
