Well, we played China, in the first two 8 ball matches Robby and I lost 6-2 while Louis won 6-3 (he played perfect). In the 9 ball matches Lyndall lost 8-0 while Robby won 8-5 ish (2 matches all)

In the 10 ball Louis and Lyndall lost 7-1 and I lost 7-6 :( was 6-3 down, got back to 6 all and dry broke in the last frame and didn't get back to the table...

It's a good atmosphere and was great in almost winning all 3 men's singles matches against China. Will keep you posted on other matches, we play Hong Kong tomorrow 2nd July at 2:30 pm Adelaide Time.

match scores so far against Hong Kong - 8 ball: Robby / David won 6-4 from 4-2 down. Louis lost 6-5 after dry breaking at 4 all and scratching on the break at 5 all. 9 ball: Robby 3-1 down and Lyndall 3-2 up and looking more comfortable. Robby was nervous in his first match so hopefully he calms down a bit! ~roth

"Yay we drew with Hong Kong 3-3. Destiny is in our hands tomorrow if we beat Singapore we will qualify. Dave/Robby won 8ball doubles 6-4, I won 9ball singles 8-6, Louis lost 8ball singles 5-6, Robby lost 9ball singles 6-8, Louis/me lost doubles 7-3 & David won 10ball singles 8-2 HUGE!!!"..... "Very difficult to get on facebook its banned in China but I dont use it much anyway but Lyndell found a way, we did well against China and I beat the Chinese in Singles 9 Ball . Today tied with Hong Kong, won doubles 8 ball with David Rothall who is playing so well, latest update Lous Condo has infected mouth, may need to go to Hospiatl however we got him medicine and vodka, singapore tomorrow".... Good work Dan :-) I was just logging in to do an update. Fingers crossed Louis is better tomorrow. We are seeing if we can reschedule our match until tomorrow night just in case he does need to go into Beijing to see a doctor.

Our match tomorrow has been rescheduled to 6-30pm local 8-30 AEST thanks to Singapore for agreeing to the change very sporting of them :-)

ZOMG we qualified! :D

Aust vs. Singapore:

After giving our kind opponents lots of Ferrero Rochers and hoping they'd eat them all before our match we settled down to play some cruisy 8 ball. Robby lost 6-4 while Louis / Dave won 6-1 ish. In the 9 ball Louis then lost 8-6 to someone who was getting about 4 balls in on every break but Lyndall won her singles match 8-5. The match score was 2 all.

Robby and Lyndall teamed up for the 10 ball and lost 7-2, but Dave won 7-4, resulting in a 3-3 draw. That was enough for us to finish equal second on points with both Hong Kong and Singapore but we played better against China than the other teams, so we qualified second in our group. After the last 16 draw was done we managed to score a match with the UK! What a way to top off a tournament, having a crack at 4 world champions (2 current - Kellie and Darren). I'm really looking forward to it, and am playing well.

We play tomorrow at 2:30 pm Adelaide time, stay tuned.

Aust vs. UK (last 16)

8 ball: Louis lost to Chris Melling 6-1, apparently the table rolled which affected some of the games. Meanwhile Robby / Roth were 3-1 down in the doubles to Appleton / Darryl Peach but we ran the next 5 out of 6 racks to win 6-4! 9 ball: Kelly Fisher was quite brutal, winning 8-0 against Lyndall, didn't even give her a chance. I lost to Chris 8-5 in the 9 ball singles, we both played average... 10 ball: in the doubles Lyndall / Louis did well to get to 6 all against Fisher / Mark Gray but got pipped at the post, losing 7-6.

Overall we lost 4-1 to the UK. It was a great experience to play in this event and we did well to qualify. Hopefully we get the chance to play in this event again!
