Break cues.Heavy or light which cue breaks better?

Hi all,
Just wanted to start a discussion on what people think is better a heavy break cue or a lighter break cue.
I realize it comes down to people's own preference but just in case you were wondering about actual physics of it all here's a link explaining it all. Very interesting reading.
Cheers Enjoy,
Adam.

I would take this a step further and say that the importance of a light cue is offset only by where the balance point of the weight is in the cue, any cue left over behind the back hand is not only a waste but can also detrimentally affect accuracy.

( as Ben NuNaN says "if you go in off in either of the middle pockets from the break - your a spastic " )

I say this through experience not science

That's exactly right it takes a heap of things to come together to make a successful break.
Balance both cue and stance ,cue tip, chalk and where to strike cue ball. When you consider the CB point of contact is usually centre or just above and stance usually more upright an solid ,it comes down to cue power, stroke and cue.
I totally agree with Ben at this level it's taboo to scratch the break.
Regardless of this discussion you have to work out the break best works for your own game (cue power v accuracy v control)
In a game where the smallest percentage can win you or lose you a game it pays to do the homework, science may not be the answer but definitely worth the time to understand the physics of it all, also cue at back of break hand shouldn't affect the stroke as the balance point is forward of your hand and the inertia from the cue and stroke would cancel any imbalance.I do understand your point though and thanks for your input.
