NSWPBA Tier 3 ranking event this weekend

We have a full 80 player draw for this event, and entries are now closed. The full draw means there will be a prize fund of $2000 to play for!

The draw will take place tonight - Wednesday 15th July - at Club Ryde X at around 7pm. Feel free to attend if you wish to witness it. Cueworld will make the draw with an NSWPBA representative supervising. The full draw and expected start times will be posted on here tomorrow.

Players are required to arrive at the venue 15 minutes before their allocated time, and must notify the tournament director of their presence. Failure to do so may result in forfeit of racks or matches.

Thanks all for a great tournament, which was thouroughly enjoyed by most of the participants! Unfortunately the group stages ran over their allocated time limits - apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused! We will rectify this for the next one. Results are as follows:-

Actual group winners (qualifiers)
1. Evans, Reljic & Jeffreys
2. Crawley, Wilson, Lai & DK
3. Calabrese, Ryan & Gregorio
4. Behan, Calleja, Habib & Mitchell
5. Tough, Mavros & Mikkonen
6. McNellis, Chan & Reese
7. Jenkins, Lui & Ng
8. Cress, Budd & McCulla
9. Chen, Phipps & Sabia
10. Emmett, Taylor & Hopwood

These 32 qualifiers were then ranked by group position, then win percentages, and drawn into the knockout draw according to position: 1v32, 2v31, 3v30,..., 14 v 19, 15v18, 16v17. positions 1 & 2 took up the top & bottom (1 & 32) places in the draw, 3 & 4 had the 2 middle (16 & 17) spots, etc.

Congratulations go to Shawn Budd, who beat Greg Jenkins in an exciting final. Unlucky semi finalists were Dave Reljic (Budd) and Barry Mavros (Jenkins).

Yes very disapointed to travel all the way to Ryde for a 7pm pool to be told they are running 1.5 hours behind at best....
4 Tables for this type of format will never work......Great format though well worth $30.
I was happy to take my entry back and go home and not have a early morning finish.
