finally; ive been waiting 20 years for a snooker tournament like this in oz. i will be very keen to travel over to the mainland to watch (even if it is up in the country). however traveling to see an event like this would depend on the players involved. does anyone know which would be the best site to keep up to date with the players who are committing to the event?

Bendigo ? really !

Awesome if you live in Bendigo.

I guess they took " putting Snooker on the map " literally ! you can definitely find Bendigo on a map.

Yeah, Bendigo is a weird choice.  I would have chosen a metro venue myself.  Just moved from Bendigo to Townsville recently.  Would have stayed for a while if I'd known this was going to happen.  Now I have to travel back to to see this.  Wouldn't miss it though, should be awesome!  At least I'll have some friends to stay with.  For those who haven't been to Bendigo before, the venue is a big basketball stadium which is a short taxi ride from the middle of town.  If you're going to stay for a few days, I recommend staying in town & either driving to the venue (or catching a taxi if you're getting on the piss) as there's not much accommodation near the venue.

If Benny Boy is the best placed Aussie at the City Of Melbourne Snooker Championship 18th & 19th June....he'll get his chance!

The absc has capped an event with a spot to the winner

ABSC = fail once again! you can not cap an event when you have something huge to offer!

This just shows you how much they know about the sport! = sweet FA
