never seen top professionals before in the flesh this should be awesome. 3 from top ten (including neil) to participate so far

The ABSC did not cap this event.
The C of M is run by the VBSA and was organised long before the announcement of the WR event. It is capped to 96 entries due to its Round Robin format and has been for the last 3 years. You know that.
It was an obvious choice for the 2nd Wildcard spot. There wasn't really any other alternative that I can see. Well done ABSC for allocating the wildcard spot to this event.
At the moment there are 67 entries. Still 29 available. You can still enter via PayPal on the VBSA website. (See Brendan's link above)
I don't see any issues here.

FOXTEL will be showing all the Matches for the Goldfields Open LIVE except for the 2 Wildcard matches on Monday morning. FOX3 will show Mon to Thurs (with repeats of the Night session early the next am). Fri is LIVE ALL DAY on FOX2. FOX3 is LIVE all day Sat & Sun. Final 9 frames are rep. on FOX1 9am Mon.

Rusty is not the purple wiggle! That's Steve Tran. Rusty is just one of the gay looking dancers from the wiggles.

And to the people wondering why it's in Belndigo and saying it's a stupid thing. Bendigo council went through the relevant tender channels for funding etc so they deserve this publicity and opportunity. Good on em I say.
